Jog for Jeremy
On July 4th, at the beach with his family and friends, Jeremy Gelb, a recent graduate of the Ross School of Business (involved in both PSE and Theta Xi fraternities),
dove into deceptively shallow water and suffered a broken back. He was airlifted to the trauma center in Stony Brook, diagnosed with an incomplete C-4 and C-5 spinal cord injury, and underwent an emergency 7 hour surgery.
After weeks in the ICU, Jeremy underwent extensive treatment at a rehab facility.
While Jeremy is thankfully no longer in need of assistance, there are 5.4 million Americans --
nearly 1 in 50 people -- living with some form of paralysis. Under Jeremy's guidance, we have chosen
to partner with the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation in their dedication to curing spinal cord
injury by funding innovative research, and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis
through grants, information and advocacy.
Our chapter has raised over $5,000 for this great cause and had a lot of fun doing so! We loved getting the opportunity to give back in honor of one of our cherished alumni and raise money for a great cause.

PSE is happy to be an official partner of iXperience, the premier study abroad/internship experience available to university students! iX combines a skills-focused bootcamp taught by seasoned industry experts with an engaging abroad internship in one's field of choice, all while immersing students in a new and exciting culture! Currently offering programs in Investment Finance, Management Consulting, Data Science, or Software Engineering in both Cape Town, South Africa, and Lisbon, Portugal.
Through iX's partnership with PSE, all PSE members get free access to iX's extensive online portfolio of educational materials. These comprehensive classes give students the opportunity to learn about a new field, or brush up on their industry of choice before recruiting season. iX also helps coordinate speaker events with well-connected alumni for the PSE brotherhood. Furthermore, PSE members get preferential admissions into the iX flagship summer abroad program- over 15 PSE brothers have gone abroad with iX in recent years!
